 Michael Vacchi practices primarily in the areas of employment law and medical malpractice. Mr. Vacchi’s experience also includes products liability litigation, insurance bad faith, construction defect litigation, dangerous conditions and business formation.
Mr. Vacchi has extensive experience in litigating and providing advice and counsel over a wide range of employment issues including race discrimination, age discrimination, sexual harassment, wrongful termination, wage and hour, disability accommodation and matters related to the Americans with Disability Act. Mr. Vacchi counsels both large and small employers regarding their policies related to human resources and assists employers in drafting employee manuals, conducting lectures, workshops and devising effective strategies for personnel management. Mr. Vacchi has represented large public entities in employment litigation matters in both State and Federal Courts.
This breadth of experience in identifying cases for settlement as well as vigorously pursuing unmeritorious cases to trial has solidified Mr. Vacchi’s reputation as one of the top up and coming defense attorneys in Southern California.
Mr. Vacchi has represented both individual health care providers and hospitals in professional negligence cases including; oral and maxillofacial surgery, general dentistry as well as numerous medical specialties such as birth injuries, cardiology, plastic surgery, psychiatry, orthopedics and neurosurgery.
In 1993 Mr. Vacchi helped to found HRA Medical Management, Inc. The company specializes in physician consulting and medical practice billing. Mr. Vacchi headed up the Revenue Enhancement Consulting Division and was integral in building the company from three employees to over $15 million in revenue before departing to attend law school.
Mr. Vacchi received his Bachelors in Business Administration and Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego where he earned the title of Oral Advocacy Specialist and trained other law students in writing and presenting legal arguments. Mr. Vacchi is admitted to practice before all courts of the State of California, U.S. District Court – Southern District and U.S. District Court – Central District.
Mr. Vacchi is a member of the American Bar Association and the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel.
